Marley is a 12-inch medium-firm mattress with cooling gel foam — the balanced choice for back and combination sleepers. Shiloh comes in 12" and 14" versions with a softer medium feel and deeper pressure relief, which side sleepers tend to prefer.
If the mattress is structurally fine but feels too firm, too warm or slightly worn, a 2–4 inch topper is the cheaper fix. If it sags, creaks or is past 8–10 years old, a topper only masks the problem — go for a mattress.
2 inches adds gentle contouring, 3 inches noticeably changes the feel of a firm bed, and the 4-inch dual-layer models add a full pillow-top experience. Heavier sleepers generally get more benefit from 3–4 inches.
The Contour pillow is shaped specifically for side and back sleeping. The Customizable Comfort pillow is a safe bet if you are unsure — its layers adjust from soft to firm and change the loft.
